Actor and co-author
CIA ZOTAL THEATRE
1985
"Company V´ítore and Gina have been able to make a good assembly where nothing illustrates anything and practically everything always maintains its eloquence. They have found their rhythm, the right one, for a show that has nothing to do with the running of "gags" where all that matters is what is being produced at the moment and everything left behind is being forgotten. Zotal lasts an hour. About an hour, I'd say. And this feeling of globality is something that gives it consistency, which allows viewers to keep a complete image rather than the memory of some specific scenic occurrences (...)
But above all, Zotal appears as a surreal, spontaneous and unsophisticated surprise, as if the avant-garde as a chance, and not as an obligation, were even possible. It is not surprising, then, that Zotal has been well received everywhere, large and small places, brought up to date or abandoned by the system, more north or more south, even by critics.”
